This year they are pushing forward, promising new ideas, new music, and new horizons. Up The Kip!
With support from Helve
Helve are a young five piece indie/experimental band based in south London. ‘Cabin Fever’, their anticipated first single, was recorded in live takes with emerging producer Harri Chambers in his West London studio. Harri has recently worked with some of the most talked about new artists including Yard Act, Moa Moa, Oscar Lang, Pixey, Matilda Mann and Bess Atwell.
After meeting at college in Croydon, Helve started to develop their own sound, an eclectic combination of jazz, folk, electronic and experimental music. They are influenced by an array of genres and styles including Aphex Twin, Radiohead, Slint, Pat Metheny, Nick Drake, Portishead, Bill Evans.
They have played at various venues and festivals around London including Hootananny Brixton, The Amersham Arms, Off The Cuff, New Cross Inn, The Old Blue Last, Nile Rodgers’ Meltdown and Jam on Rye Peckham. Helve accompany their live sets with audio reactive projections to create an immersive experience.
